Dreams have been described as the Window in to our Soul. They are like buried treasure providing jewels of wisdom to help us through Life because we can take positive action with the messages they provide. We all dream, every night. Each dream is coded so that only you can decide ultimately what it means, although sometimes asking for help can be useful.
The subject of Dreams and Buddhism can become a complex one, because there are differing views about what it means to be present; with dreaming, some people confuse this with being lucid (ie aware of the fact you’re dreaming when you’re dreaming).
It is possible to be present in a dream – to experience the dream fully - without being aware you’re having a dream. Most people do this without becoming Lucid. This is why dreams can feel so real and are often at their most powerful, because they capture your attention whilst you’re having them and then after waking.
